Activity:
Human autoantibody against whole histones. Single donor human plasma is delipidized and defibrinated, then the immunoglobulin fraction is precipitated and collected. Antibody concentration is adjusted for consistent lot to lot titer.
Specificity:
Human autoantibody against whole histones, buffered with 0.01M phosphate, 0.13 M NaCl, 0.02% NaN3. Shows anti-histone activity when tested by ELISA techniques using purified histones. Exhibits no reactivity at a dilution of 1:100 when tested against purified SSA, SSB, Scl-70, Sm, Sm/RNP, and Jo-1 antigens in an ELISA system designed to detect all IgG subclasses.
